It gives everyone a chance to say hello to associates & clients, friends & family.

2019 TOURNAMENT POLICIES
  1. Grovedale Golf and Country Club will contact the tournament organizer to discuss the details of the tournament.

  2. The tournament format and proposed rules sheet must be submitted to Grovedale Golf and Country Club 7 full business days prior to the tournament date. No changes are permissible to the format and rules without written approval from Grovedale Golf and Country Club.

  3. Player names must be received in FOURSOMES a minimum of 7 full business days prior to the tournament date.

  4. The number of golfers attending, and meals necessary, must be confirmed 7 full business days prior to the tournament date. This guaranteed number is what Grovedale Golf and Country Club will invoice for; or, the actual number served—whichever is greater.

  5. A reduction in the number of golfers or meals after the deadline will be subject to full tournament charges. Any additions to the final number must first be approved by Grovedale Golf and Country Club to ensure resource and space availability.

  6. All fees pertaining to the tournament are due prior to start of tournament. Credit card information is required to cover any additional expenses that may be incurred on the day of the event. These expenses are due, and will be processed, at the end of the tournament. A 20% gratuity will be added to all parties of 8 or more on all food and beverages.

  7. As per A.G.L.C. (Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission) regulations, section 5, sub section 5.5.6 :

  • Selling or serving liquor by liquor suppliers, or liquor agencies, or registered representatives is prohibited.

  • All liquor must be purchased from the golf course licensee.

  • Because of insurance stipulations, only licensee staff of Grovedale Golf and Country Club may serve liquor on the golf course.

  • Therefore any off course liquor will be confiscated.

  1. Drink Tickets can be purchased in advance and will be available for purchase at the Pro-shop, Food and Beverage Counter and at the Registration Desk on the day of Tournament.

  2. Hole sponsorships involving any food or beverages (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) must be arranged and supplied by Grovedale Golf and Country Club.

  3. Companies who sponsor alcoholic beverages on holes may have a representative present on the golf course along with a Grovedale Golf and Country Club staff member.

  4. Tournament organizers and volunteers must report to the Grovedale Golf and Country Club reception area at least one hour prior to the event start time.

  5. All resolutions made by the presiding Golf Club Manager are considered final.

 BOOKING POLICY

The proposed tournament date will be confirmed only when a 25% tournament deposit and completed Tournament Agreement are received by Grovedale Golf and Country Club. Deposit cheques are to be made payable to Grovedale Golf and Country Club. The deposit will be deducted from the final invoice. Terms of invoicing will be net, prior to the start of the event. Credit card information is required to cover any additional expenses that may be incurred on the day of the event. Any additional charges will be charged to the credit card at the completion of the event. A 15% gratuity will be added to all parties of 8 or more on all food and beverages.

PAYMENT POLICY

Exact confirmation of final numbers (golfers, meals etc.) must be provided 7 full business days prior to the tournament date; any reductions after this are nonetheless still payable.

Any additions to the final number must be approved by the Grovedale Golf and Country Club pending resource and space availability.

All tournaments are due and payable at the end of the tournament.

The Grovedale Golf and Country Club Staff will provide an invoice which must be paid at the end of the tournament.

TOURNAMENT AGREEMENT

As tournament coordinator, I understand that this agreement, completed in full, accompanied by the required deposit, is necessary to confirm the proposed event named below as outlined by the booking policy. I have read, and am in full understanding and agreement with the Tournament Policies. I understand, agree with, and permit any extra tournament related charges to be charged to the credit card given below at the conclusion of the event.

I understand and acknowledge that the organization holding the tournament, the individuals attending the tournament, and the individuals organizing the tournament accept full responsibility for damages to the golf course, power carts, rental clubs, clubhouse and any other fixed or rented property, and will be billed for such damages.

I understand that the tournament will be played as long as the course is deemed playable; that cold weather, rain, or winds are not acceptable reasons to cancel. I understand and acknowledge the authority of the presiding Course Superintendent regarding decision about playability of the course; the Course Superintendent also reserves the right to deem the golf course unfit for power cart use, in which case, power carts will be deducted from the invoice. In the event the golf course is deemed unplayable, an alternate date will be booked, and if this is not feasible, 75% of the original deposit will be refunded. I agree that Grovedale Golf and Country Club is not responsible for any lost or stolen property. All signage and other tournament related items will be removed from the Golf Course within 24 hours of the event’s completion.
